Would you ever intentionally fill your home with toxic fumes or chemicals?

Of course not. And I bet if you knew you were breathing in bacteria, increasing your congestion and suffering with allergies you didn't know you had that you would want to do something about it, right? No doubt about it.

The quality of air is something we don't think about a lot, but air is the basis of life. Have you ever heard a smog advisory for the air outside? Well what about inside your home? There is no one who can improve your indoor air quality but you. And I would like to share with you how I do this every day by simply changing the way you clean and freshen your home!

One important factor is to reduce airborne bacteria. Bacteria can cause illness, which detracts from your overall health, well being and life enjoyment. Major sources of bacteria in the home are litter boxes, garbage receptacles and the toilet. If there were steps you could take to reduce this risk you would - I know it. Carbon filter based products can eliminate these bacteria at the source. Look for products that can transform your toilet, litter box and garbage pail.

Have you ever been affected by the perfume or cologne worn by a coworker? How about the sneeze in an elevator or other enclosed space caused by fragrance sensitivity? I was once suspected of being unfaithful in a relationship because of the massive amount of cologne worn by a coworker who offered me a ride home. The smell had transferred to me from 15 minutes in the same vehicle. This is fragrance sensitivity.

Remember pine scented air fresheners that really came on strong? Even the latest light breeze, tropical paradise, natural concoctions available today are unnecessary and harmful. You may not even notice the constant sniffle or tickle in your throat or nagging headache as symptoms caused by fragrance sensitivity - but they are.

If you are willing to make a comment to the person with too much perfume in the elevator, or to ask your coworker to lay off the spray on scent - why would you tolerate - or more likely intentionally add - the same in your haven - your home?? You probably wouldn't - especially if you know the health risks associated with the sprays and oils and gels and mists and plug in units that we buy for our homes.

I remember that all through college I would wake up every morning with a stuffed up nose that wouldn't go away until midday. It wasn't until I moved into a pet free home that I realized - I was allergic to cats and didn't even know it! Do you sneeze for no reason? Do you wake up most mornings with a shmutzy, stuffed nose? Do you know why? It's likely that you are a victim of the allergens in your air!

All conventional cleaning and freshening products are chemical based. Would you drink scented room oils? NO - so why would you ingest them into your lungs through your mouth and nose? Anything you can do you eliminate these chemical based allergens from the air can only have one result - YOU will feel better. Look for innovative, chemical free technologies that are available to you.

I hope you seek out new and beneficial ways to improve your indoor air quality and your life.
